Affirmations 101, FAQs - When Will I See Results From My Affirmations?

Last time we talked about the chain reaction that you want to create when you start affirming

Thought (the affirmation) Feelings Decisions Actions

and Results

Many people ask...so when will I achieve my affirmation?

I'll be honest -- I don't know.

Some people seem to be like magnets with the things they affirm. Others seem to take longer. Some people affirm certain things for their entire life and never achieve what they are affirming.

So you need to know this -- sometime what you affirm will never happen.

You also need to know -- Many people will say affirmations are magic. They are not magic they simply help you get focused and spend your efforts achieving what you are focusing on (instead of running around focused on 20 unrelated things and likely achieving only a portion what you really want or nothing that you want). Affirmations also help you reprogram your inner settings.

The reprogramming exercise is something a lengthy, gentle road that meanders from hear to there until you finally change what you believe to be true and then the affirmation is achieved.

For example: If you believe being wealthy is a sin and you start saying affirmations to start moving you towards being wealthy you will likely sabotage any efforts you make to become wealthy - to avoid doing something you think is 'bad'. Until you change the notion that 'being wealthy is bad or something to be avoided' you will likely not achieve any kind of financial abundance.

Another reason one might not achieve what they affirm is because they give up too soon. You can't say an affirmation five times and think you will achieve what you are affirming. Affirmations sometime takes weeks, months or even years.

I personally affirmed for a 'sense of inner peace' for two years before I really felt a inner shift. What I did not realize at the time was that I had to change a whole bunch of inner beliefs before I would allow inner peace to be something I enjoyed. Two years later, and a bunch if reprogramming of what I believed to be true.....the sense of inner peace appeared.

(And by the way, it has never left....)

But all that brings us to another question.

Is there something else going on when a person affirms?

Like what?

*God intervenes....
*The Universe steps in and lends a helping hand?
*Buddha moves some pieces on a chess board?

or many other explanations as told by the most popular religions?

I don't know, and neither does anyone else. If someone tells you they know what is happening they are not being honest. Who knows what goes on in the unseen? Who really knows if there is an unseen?

Do you want to know what I think? (just think, not know for sure....)

You'll have to wait until next time!

Try this affirmation when you want to see results faster.

'I am open to changing the way I think so that all my beliefs serve me'
